If you’ve got some restless students – we hope we’ve got a temporary cure for you: 

GWA Morning Runners Club is open for business for the next two weeks only from 7:30-8:00 to get our students ready for the Run to Overcome on March 1st. Our aim is to collectively run 140km in the next ten school days which would take us to Al Ain – but we’re happy to push further!

Thanks to those of you who have already signed on for the Run to Overcome but we need more teams!! Click on the picture below to download the registration form (or collect from the front desk). Complete it and hand in to the front desk OR Mr Gerber!

Who? All students, teachers AND parents! Teams must have at least 2 GWA students and then 2 other people (friends, teachers, parents, family)
When? Practice for the next week and a half between 7:30-8am on the track before the event on Friday 1st March
Why? To help raise money to build a school for the Kibera Slums in Kenya

Play a game! There are many educational games and activities to practice relevant skills on each grade level page of the Weebly - links to cool activities such as Maths Whizz, Arcademics, Sum Dog and MUCH more!

Read or write something online! Try Tumblebooks to read a cool book online and do quizzes and book reports to show off your learning. Try Storybird to create your own book with great images. Use your Microsoft skills to create your own in Powerpoint, Word, Moviemaker or Publisher (or the Mac equivalents!) about the highlights of your holiday. There are MANY creative ways to keep yourself busy while having fun!

Try something NEW! Click on a link from your Weebly page and try something you have never done before - be a risk taker! OR you COULD try out one of these cool tools. OR you could learn about something new by going to Brainpop or Brainpop jr, Oddizzi or Encyclopedia Britannica.
